# 10DLC Registration

> 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) is a system in the U.S. that allows businesses to send SMS messages using standard 10-digit phone numbers. It improves message deliverability and reduces spam by requiring registration and carrier vetting for business text messaging.

### Steps

1. Open the invitation from your email, and set up your account by entering your first and last name, phone number, and finalizing the setup
2. In the **Compliance** tab, click **Add Business**
3. Enter your **9-digit Business EIN or Tax ID**
4. If entered correctly, other fields may auto-fill
5. Once all required fields are filled in, click **Save Draft**
6. Click **Submit**

Within 2 business days, you'll get an update: approved or rejected. If you get rejected, reach out to your Account Manager and they'll walk you through exactly what to fix.
