# Changing or Adding your Mobile Number in Hatch

### Overview

You may want to change or associate your Hatch account with your mobile number for two reasons.

* Unread message notifications
* Resetting your password via sms

Associating your Hatch account with your mobile number is easy!

1\. Log in to your Hatch account and navigate to your **Profile Settings**.

2\. On the **General** tab, click **Update User Profile**.

3\. Enter your mobile number in the **Phone number field** and click **Save**.

4\. If successful, you should see the message “**Successfully updated profile** ”.

**Reminder:** If you've added your number to receive text notifications for unread messages, be sure to select the workspaces you'd like to receive them for.
