When a contact calls your workspace’s phone number and no one answers — and call forwarding is not configured — Hatch plays your voicemail greeting and records a message from the contact. Setting a custom greeting makes the experience feel more professional and on-brand.

Setting up your voicemail greeting

  1. Go to Workspace Configs and click the Features tab.
  2. Find the Voicemail Greeting card.
  3. Record a new greeting directly in the browser, or upload an audio file.
  4. Click Save to apply it.
Once saved, the Voicemail Greeting card will show as enabled, confirming your greeting is active.

Removing a greeting

To remove your voicemail greeting and revert to the default, click the trash icon on the Voicemail Greeting card and confirm. Contacts who call after removal will hear the default Hatch voicemail prompt.
